The Bannerless
Six people with their own reasons, their own losses, and their own agendas — pulled together by a missing persons case that has grown into something considerably larger. They call themselves The Bannerless: an officially licensed adventurer's guild, reigning Blood Bowl champions of Grollen, and holders of a crystal shard that several powerful people wanted very badly.
Aiden Barlowe
Shifter detective — publicly claims human, but he isn't. Has hunted the truth behind his best friend Daniel Ivy's murder for three years. The dead man himself just pointed him toward a mansion.
Thalen Blackfoot
Harengon thief. Scapegoated for a casino job gone wrong. Out for revenge on the Golden Hand and Armsmaster Inc. Travels with a tanooki named Nik-Nak.
Thistlebrand “Hammerhand” Ironspanner
Gnome artificer, looks older than his papers say. A civil war prisoner of war whose real name was erased from history. Travels with his construct Ani.
Vexra Stone Dumont
Tiefling bard and wanderer. Plays in a band called Spectre. Has a magical guitar named Papa Emeritus that speaks to her. Scheming about a recently discovered half-brother.
Caelistra Moondawn
Elven druidic oracle, exiled from her commune over a Dark Star prophecy. The last person to see Vellena Chezwick alive. Joined The Bannerless to understand what the prophecy means.
Calliope Pleasant
Satyr cleric of Ilmater. Her fiancée Lyra died in an apartment explosion — and the investigation has finally confirmed it was foul play, with Lyra caught in someone else's crossfire. A born rebel whose father died in the Silent Winter Riots.
The Grand Parliament
The Grand Parliament is made up of twelve people: two Prime Ministers from each of Emmerick’s six major cities.
It was formed after the civil war to prevent the return of concentrated royal power and to bind the largest cities into shared rule.
All twelve seats are now on record. Two Prime Ministers represent each of the six major cities, with Klaus Rebefaul retained as a figurehead king and Parliamentary tiebreaker.
